Every time it rains - if there's the slightest wind with it, the power's out. Again.
This is what having a monopoly on utilities is like. But they'll sure charge the *** out of that pocket when it's running.

Power went out at 6:30 PM. It stopped raining right after the power went out on June 15, 2024.
Online, it stated that the power would be on by 9 PM. It is now June 16th and my power has been out for over 10 hours. No one from the city nor Alabama Power has bothered to remove the tree off of the power line on the next block. Customer service has nasty attitudes and for what?
They have power.
It is now 4:54 AM and they still have not been out to remove the tree or fix the problem. Who is going to replace my food?

I got a 753-dollar light bill for one month, not even 30 days - complete BS. Then, the following month, it's almost 600, and I get a disconnect notice.
When I call them on the phone, they act stuck up and don't care, like they need a good slap in the face. So, I pay $850 of it. But she says I need to pay 883, or the lights will be cut off the next day.
So, I come up with an extra 200 and only owe 190, but then they're so consumed with phone calls they can't even answer the call. So, I have to spend an hour trying to get a hold of someone – absolutely inexcusable.

Get a $758 light bill for 1 month which is completely absurd for a little teeny single wide complete robbery then the following month is 500 that puts my bill at 1200 so I pay $850 of it the lady tells me I have to pay 883 or they're cutting the lights off the next day stuck up *** they all are so I pay the 883 I pay actually $150 extra where I only owe 190 then they get overwhelmed with calls and won't even answer the phone spent 1 hour trying to get a hold of somebody so they wouldn't cut my lights off the next day *** I hate them zero stars

A storm came through earlier recived a text saying APCOUT: Field personnel are on site evaluating the outage in your area. How are field personal on site in the middle of a storm an how do they know it will be back on at 1030 when it says undetermened?
Then it says 1100 online?? Then it says undetermend wow i keep seeing power trucks driving by with there spot lights and they dont even know were its out at!!
But ok yaa there on site.. why text customers that *** we know the powers out an no there not on site...

They don’t care about anything but money.
Ive tried calling but all I get is automated. When the line falls and a kid gets into it or it falls on my house then what am I supposed to do?
Exorbitant charges. In February of this year the bill was close to 700 dollars very close within the months prior and following. The rate they charge you is absolutely damn ridiculous.
Never in the history of my life being an adult have ever seen this kind of bills. The highest bill I have ever seen. I am here to take care of my mother and now I'mTuej finding out how an elderly person gets the shaft!

We lose electricity nearly every time it *** rains! Alabama Power *** sucks. Somebody please sue them into bankruptcy, and put the money from the lawsuit towards building a power grid that's actually worth a ***

IF I COULD GIVE NO 1 STAR, I WOULD...HORRIBLE SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS ARE RUDE AND NONCHALANT. THE POWER ALWAYS GOES OFF, IT TAKES HOURS TO GET IT BACK ON.
DID I MENTION HORRIBLE, INCOMPETENT CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES? I HONESTLY NEED TO MOVE BACK TO GEORGIA BECAUSE THIS SERVICE IS TOO EXPENSIVE AND HORRIBLE.

Resolved: Outside light no service
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. The light is back working
I called and spoke with a recording I was asked about why calling to report outside light on the pole that I pays for, everyone on my street their light on the pole was on, so I was told it was reported, a service Alabama Power truck was down here on Cillie Lane either February 28th or 29th. Light has not worked since the repairman was here.
Preferred solution: My outside light on the pole fixed, I live in the county and the road is mighty dark
Horrible customer service
I have called Alabama Power twice today to try to get my bill resolved. Each time, the wait time has been well over 45 minutes.
I work a full time job and can't stay on the line for 45 minutes waiting to speak to a representative. Completely unacceptable
